has been a member of the Portland Symphony Orchestra’s horn section since 1976 and joined the New Hampshire Music Festival in 1981. A native New Yorker, she attended the Manhattan School of Music Preparatory Department and received a Bachelors in Horn Performance from Northwestern University. She is an active New England freelancer and has taught horn at Bates College, University of Southern, Wellesley Public Schools and Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. Her horn teachers include Arthur Berv, Phillip Farkas and Dale Clevenger. In addition to her musical interests, Nina is a nationally-renowned advocate for ovarian cancer awareness and education.
